Steve and Esther Uppal, senior pastors of All Nations, met in Wolverhampton and married in 1996. After ministering together in Christian Warriors, a youth ministry founded by Steve, they took on the senior leadership of the church in 2001.

Esther has a prophetic preaching gift and also leads the pastoral work of the church, overseeing the Life groups, Area Leaders and Pastoral team, to ensure that members of the church are nurtured.

Steve and Esther have four children: Bethany born in 1998, Sophia born in 2000, Joel born in 2003 and Judah, born in 2005.

Chris and Catherine Horton

Chris and Catherine Horton joined the All Nations family in 2010, after a pilgrimage which included church planting in Nottinghamshire, and some years serving an Anglican congregation in Heath Town, Wolverhampton.

Together they are passionate about developing missional leaders and releasing people into their calling, particularly in order to reach the unreached in other nations as well as in the UK.  Chris takes a lead in discipleship and training, while Catherine leads in the areas of prayer and the prophetic.

They met and married in Wolverhampton, then lived in Nottinghamshire for ten years, before moving back to Wolverhampton in 1996, with a sense of calling to the city.  They have three grown up children who live in London and Leeds.

leaders-new-tim-beckyTim and Becky Downes

Tim and Becky Downes met and married at All Nations, having individually been a part of the church for a number of years. Tim had lived in the North West of the UK until 1996, when he moved to the Midlands to work with PAIS. In 1997 he moved to Wolverhampton to join Steve Uppal in Christian Warriors.

As a couple they have a passion for seeking the presence of God. Tim takes a lead in prayer at All Nations and has recently stepped into the role of pastor to Straits community church based in Gornal, a campus or location within All Nations.

Tim and Becky are parents to Zoe, born in 2011, Seth born in 2013 and Elijah born in 2016.

Although individuals take a lead in certain areas, all the leadership team work together in

  • supporting Ps Steve to develop and communicate vision, and
  • overseeing and facilitating the work of the church.

The team’s role

Although individuals take a lead in certain areas, all the leadership team work together in

  • supporting Pastor Steve to develop and communicate vision, and
  • overseeing and facilitating the work of the church.

As well as meeting for business, they meet as a Life Group because authentic community matters – as Ps Steve often says, “We lead out of who we are and reproduce ourselves.”
